Even though Jim & I grew up in Utah, we spent more than half of our married life in the perpetual sunshine of Las Vegas, Nevada. I suppose this is why snow fall, especially the first of the season is a bit of a thrill for our family! This past winter season, an early flurry in October greeted us one Sunday morning and with enthusiasm we rolled out of bed, put on snow gear and went outside for snowman building and snowball fights. So often I think to myself, "when _____ is done, THEN I'll _____ with the kids." (fill in the blanks with all sorts of chores and activities respectively) but this day was an exception. I'm pretty sure there was breakfast to be prepared, beds to be made and clothes to be readied, but you know, I don't really remember that. I remember the fun of that morning and how much we enjoyed being together. I'm so glad we "siezed the moment"!
